On-Grid Solar Systems
Our on-grid solar systems are perfect for customers who want to stay connected to the main power grid while benefiting from solar energy. These systems allow you to use solar power during the day and seamlessly switch to the grid when solar energy isn’t available. With on-grid systems, you can reduce your electricity bills and feed excess energy back into the grid, under five schemes.
- Net Metering: Use solar power during the day, and any extra energy is sent to the grid without earning credits or payments. This offsets your future electricity usage.
- Net Accounting: Excess solar energy is sent back to the grid, and you earn credits on your bill for the energy exported.
- Net Plus: You sell all the solar energy generated directly to the grid, and you pay for any electricity used from the grid separately.
- Net Plus Plus (CEB): Offered by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), this scheme allows you to sell the total solar power generated directly to the grid. You pay separately for the electricity consumed from the grid. Learn more about the scheme on the CEB website.
